"The improvement Andy has shown in just 7 months is remarkable. His ability to communicate, as well as his behavior, are no longer insurmountable problems" - Carolyn J., Parent

"We can hear such a huge difference in his speech and, more importantly, he is proud of himself." - Kristen and Kurt L., Parents

"My success....is directly related to the therapy I received at the Oregon Scottish Rite Clinics. Socially and intellectually I am years ahead of what my proposed levels without treatment were. I just hope that others will have the same opportunities to improve their lives through the services of the Oregon Scottish Rite Clinics." - Kellianne H., former patient, now a Speech-language Pathologist

Imagine a world where you know what you want but don't have the words to express it. Imagine a world where you have the words but no matter how hard you try no one understands you. That's the world inhabited by many of the 85 to 90 preschool children seen each week at Oregon Scottish Rite Clinics. They may have difficulty understanding what is said to them. Frequently they are not talking at all. If they are talking, they may use only single words or sentences that sound more like short telegrams with all of the connecting words missing. Often those who are talking cannot be understood.

The speech-language therapy provided through our core program, KidTalk, is individual and intensive. Children are usually seen twice weekly for 40 to 45 minutes each session. If you suspect that your child needs our services, we encourage you to contact one of our clinics, learn more about our programs, and check out the resource center on our Website.
